Desktop GIS

ArcGIS for Desktop

ArcGIS for Desktop is a collection of software products that runs on standard desktop computers and lets you create, query, analyze, edit, import, map and publish geographic information. It allows you to examine relationships, test predictions and ultimately, make better decisions.

A single, consistent user interface
All ArcGIS for Desktop products share a common architecture, so users can easily share their work with others. Maps, data, symbology, map layers, geoprocessing models, custom tools and interfaces, reports and metadata can be accessed interchangeably.

Beyond displaying your data as points on a map, ArcGIS for Desktop gives you the power to manage and integrate your data, perform advanced analysis, model and automate operational processes and display your results on professional-quality maps.

With optional ArcGIS for Desktop extensions, you can add more capabilities through specialized tools that let you perform extended tasks like raster geoprocessing, 3D analysis and map publishing.

A number of no-cost add-ons are also available that provide special tools to complete specific tasks. You can download them directly to your desktop and begin using them right away.

ArcGIS for Desktop is available in Basic, Standard and Advanced. Find out which software is right for you.
