The Associate GIS Professional Program is a full-time paid position with Esri Canada and designed for people who want to build a career with us. When associate GIS analysts participate in the program, we commit to transitioning them to a new GIS role after 18 months. 

Interested applicants can apply for an Associate GIS Analyst position via our job posting on LinkedIn, to be posted early each calendar year. A resume and cover letter are required. 

The program is designed for recent or upcoming graduates of Canadian GIS programs. Interested applicants should apply in the year of their program completion. 

Yes, we accept all applicants provided they are legally entitled to work in Canada. 

Yes, provided we meet all the requirements of the co-op or practicum. Please note that the program is a full-time paid position and that we are seeking candidates who want to stay with us long term. 

Associate GIS analysts can take advantage of our flexible work-from-home policy, but must be available to attend in-office events and training when required. 

Job roles are chosen in consultation with a variety of stakeholders across the company. The associate GIS analyst’s skills and expressed career interests are taken into consideration as well as Esri Canada’s immediate business needs. 

Applications to the program will be accepted starting in early February up to March. Candidates chosen for interviews will be interviewed starting in March. Offers to successful candidates will be made in April with start dates between May and September, depending on candidate availability. 

The program is the most common way for recent graduates to join Esri Canada. However, if the program is not the right fit for you, we encourage you to look at other open positions and apply for roles that you believe you qualify for.
