Geospatial solutions for nonprofits
The Esri Nonprofit Organization Program provides grants of Esri software to nonprofit organizations, such as nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) whose focus is on environmental and humanitarian initiatives. This program enables a worldwide community of conservationists and social activists to use GIS technology to fulfill their objectives by providing Esri software and related resources to qualified organizations and to developers who assist them.
Applying to the Program
The program is open to non-profit organizations in Canada that meet the following criteria:
- Organization eligibility
Organizations must be a non-profit or a charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. Commercial, governmental or organizations with a primary focus on economic development, as well as primary, secondary or higher education institutions are not eligible.
- Mission eligibility
In addition to the criteria above, eligible service organizations must also operate on a not-for-profit basis and have a specific conservation, humanitarian or community service mission
Any organization that does not meet the criteria outlined above for eligible non-profit missions is ineligible for Esri non-profit programs. Ineligible organizations include, without limitation:

In its sole business discretion, Esri Canada reserves the right to determine the eligibility of an organization’s candidacy for the program. As a result of that eligibility determination, Esri Canada may either grant or deny an organization's application or participation for any reason. Program eligibility is not subject to external review. Esri Canada further reserves the right to supplement or amend the program’s eligibility guidelines at any time without notice.
