GIS in Education and Research Conference

The 5th bi-annual conference on GIS in Education and Research will be held at Hart House, University of Toronto on March 1st, 2023.

This year’s event will be a 1-day in person format with the intention of re-establishing this highly successful gathering. The day will feature research paper presentations from higher education and hands-on workshops run by Esri Canada staff focused on advanced aspects of Esri software use.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Trisalyn Nelson, Professor, Department Chair, and Jack and Laura Dangermond Chair of Geography at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB).

This is a low-cost conference intended to facilitate community building by sharing GIS teaching and research work among academics, students, and K-12 teachers.
